Earth-16 is the world shown in the cartoon series Young Justice and its spin-off comicbook Young Justice (vol. 2). Its a young and modern Earth where the Justice League are as much superstars as they are superheroes. Superman first burst onto the scene 10-years-ago he and his allies in the Justice League have fought to publicly defend their world, but their fame has hampered their efforts. Their opponents, the super villain society called the Light, exists in a shadowy, covert world where it is impossible for Leaguers to follow without being instantly noticed, tweeted about, and reported on. When the League’s sidekicks insist on forming their own team – Young Justice – Batman realises that their relative obscurity will allow them of go unnoticed by the world’s media or the League’s enemies.
