The Movie Project

Despite my interest and willingness to read or watch books and movies I often find myself passing them by due to lack of time. That was why I resolved to under take “The Project.” It works like this:

1. Choose 26 nearly random movies
2. One for each letter in the alphabet
3. Try for balance between “recent movies” and “old classics”
4. You should not have seen them before
5. They should be films that you would not usually choose to watch.

That last point is the clincher. I’d usually watch a host of sci-fi, fantasy, or superhero films, but that clause forces me to broaden my horizons. It doesn’t have to mean you have to deliberately watch dross – I’ve got my reasons for picking each film on the list – it just means you pick outside your normal comfort zone.
