The surprise that came with DC’s August 2012 solicitations was the news that Justice League International (vol. 3) was being cancelled with its twelfth issue. The oddity was not only that DC were removing a relatively strong book (far better than some of the stuff in back-end of the New 52), but they are also giving it an extra issue, a full Annual, on its way out. It appears that DC are cancelling JLI for strategic reasons. Artist Aaron Lopresti is moving onto the new Amethyst series (see next months solicitations) and they are redeploying Dan Jurgens and Booster Gold to god knows where.
