Chip Kidd is a graphic design and author of some note. He designed that striking dinosaur cover for the original Jurassic Park novel. He also designed the three volumes of Les Daniels The Complete History of Superman, The Complete History of Wonder Woman, and The Complete History of Batman.

Kidd has now written a brilliant graphic novel called Batman: Death by Design with British artist Dave Taylor. Short review: its brilliant, go and buy it! However, not only is Chip a great designer, but he’s also an engaging and witty speaker. This is an address he gave last year to the Pivot: AIGA Design Conference about this inspiration for Batman: Death by Design.
