The man behind Voices of Krypton is Edward Gross, the co-author of a number of Star Trek books (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Edward_Gross), so he isn't an unknown author. Their website looks like it's still being updated (http://www.voicesfromkrypton.com/) and it looks like they've got a series of related properties and magazines (all single or first issues).
