Three hundred and ninety nine pounds – that’s how much my comic collection weighted.
For the last two and a half years I’ve been working and living in the United States, but I’m actually British and I am currently midway through moving my stuff back to the United Kingdom. So naturally I wanted to ship my comics back home.
I packed the boxes, taped them shut and brought they down to the local post office. I think the poor lady behind the counter will still be cursing me for wanting to ship eight M-Bags of comic boxes all at once. It is cheaper than using a professional mover, but they have to withstand more punishment.
Last time I went through a big relocate was just prior to Zero Hour and now we’ve got Infinite Crisis coming up it’ll be fun trying to stay up with current events.

Hey Jason,
One idea that comes to the mind is scanning the whole collection and putting it on a disk.
I know atleast one person who has done this.
Check out http://thecomicsproject.blogspot.com/ and you will have an idea what I am talking about.
Cheers,
Mr Tired.
I’ve heard of the same thing and have even seen one or two screen readers. My problem would be the outlay in time it would take to create a good scanned copy of every comic I own. Not so bad keeping it up to date, but I shudder to think how long it’d take to scan in all my long boxes. Still, if DC/Marvel were to offer a comics equivalent to a commercial service like iTunes I’d certainly be interested.
