George Eads (Captain Atom) interview

There is an interview with George Eads, CSI’s Nick Stokes and JLU’s Captain Atom, on the IN7Q.net website. He mainly talks about his CSI work, but there are a couple of quotes about his JLU work…

He was able to briefly don an altogether different persona, Captain Atom, in the new animated “Justice League Unlimited” series. “That experience would’ve been better if I was Superman! I love animation. I’m an artist; I love doing voice acting like that. I don’t know if I’ll be returning to voice Captain Atom again, but I auditioned for different characters in the [new] “Batman” series.”

When asked if he’s auditioned for any live-action superhero roles, as he has the sculpted looks for it, he quickly replies, “I’m itching to! I would like to do an action movie. In between seasons, I can do that. That’s one of the things I really want to do.”

It’s not that much of a leap to suggest him as a potential Flash – after all Barry Allen was also a police scientist, aka a crime scene invesitgator.

Hello, just wanted to say that to me George Eads is already a super hero in my eyes, and has been for over almost two yrs for me. I moved down to Florida from NH where i grew up( though born in Fort Worth texas, march 19th 1967, I might of met George if I wasnt put up for adoption, heh dreams can come true) about 6 yrs ago, after dealing with a stalker and needing a change too, plus a guy lol. anyhoo two yrs a go I found myself moving into a new town here in florida, and finding a bew pervert to stalk me, being alonee, and not even having any friends here since I keep to myself alot, I dont drive because of epielpsy which is undercontrol but i wont risk it, So anyways I who am afraid of people and being hurt, was now going afraid of leaving my apartment and even of going asleep. at the time, and still now, besides the discovery channel lol, is CSI. Finding out that George and I had the Texas thing in common made me feel close to “home”, though I was moved up north I spent summers in Texas and was truely, and still am a southern girl. So seeing him on TV made me feel safer, so I started imaging him holding me when i would shut my eyes to fall asleep, and before i knew it nights wre not as bad, I could fall asleep within minutes feeling safe. So here I am over a yr later still faling asleep in his arms, though i know its a far fetched dream, at least i can fall asleep safely and wake feeling proud to be in his arms though it was only a dream. George Eads is definatly a Super Hero in my eyes( And heart). And from what I have read about him other than CSI he as a man is a hero too. I have written him, but I am not sure if he has recieved my mail. I grew up withfamous people with my mom being a tv producer, and understand the privacy issues and dont want to be a burden, or for him to think of me as a crazy fan. I just wish that He could know how much he has helped me. He has been my rock, which I will treasure forever, thank you for your time. As a writer I really enjoyed your piecs : )Sara

hello again, I wanted to add, sorry for writting so much being a writer itr hard to write something short lol. I wanted to add why I wrote George Easd in the first place, not just being a fan, but because I am looking for my birth father, and with my adoption being kinda odd, maybe his parents, since we both are from Fort Worth might of heard something about my parents or even knew them. I know birth father was in law school, and George’s Dad was a Lawyer. The odd thing about my adoption was within a yr of me being born my birth mother got pregnant and kept the baby. My Mom I have now told me that, the adoption center told her that. And gossip travels around especially when its about a pregnant unwed mother. I mainly am just wanting my medical records to see if I need to watch out for anything, being 40 now. So I am writting again for kinda another stone thrown out there in finding my Dad. And too the letter to George was to thank him for holding me so I could sleep at night so the stalker wouldnt get me, I have delt with both CIS and CSI and I will say CSI works harder, or at least for me they have, but no one has caught the stalker, but at least I dont have to be afraid, thanks to George Eads. Not Nick Stokes, but the real man. Thanx again for listening : )Sara
