Neil Gaiman read a dedication from Alan Moore at the memorial for Julius Schwartz. Gaiman has posted the passage on his weblog.
DC will be honouring Schwartz with eight DC PRESENTS specials in July. The project was to have been in honour of his 60th anniversary with DC Comics and it now becomes their salute to his passing. The Pulse has more details. Each issue has a series of tales told by different writers, but inspired by a classic Schwartz DC cover. Peter David will be scripting one story over a Harlan Elllison plot for the cover of JLA #53.
