Just a moment ago I logged on to the internet to discover the news that Julius Schwartz, the editor of the original Justice League and the genesis of the Silver Age, has died at Winthorp Hospital. Mr Schwartz had been hospitalised with pneumonia shortly before Christmas (see previous post). He was 88 years young.
UPDATE: 09/02/2004 – DC Comics have posted an Official Eulogy for on their website. The eulogy includes a note on how people can donate to the Julius Schwartz Scholarship Fund. DC have also set up an Electronic Book of Rememberance on their message boards.
